The pipeline of new releases is looking really good. Following on from his “Moon Of Ostara” solo project, Fred Laird is back with a new Earthling Society album, “Zodiak”, six portraits of alienation, serial killing, occultism and urban decay all built around the two epic songs of the ever morphing ’Zodiak’ and the doom laden ’Astral Traveller’. Work continues on a new Mushroom release, taking the best from the Make Out Room shows with Alison Faith Levy and an amazing epic song mixed with an Eldridge Cleaver speech about Timothy Leary. There are also a couple of Gong related projects in the works including a Shapeshifter Gong 2CD culled from a recently discovered hoard of DAT recordings from the tours of France in 1992 and 1994, and we’re forever hopeful that something from Here & Now will hit the streets too – fingers crossed. Also from the Here & Now family is a wonderful recording of Steffe Sharpstring’s new band, Sentient, from a show at the Real Music Club in Brighton we recorded last year.
